The Applied 5G Technology and Industry Practice program is a four-session training designed to help students, fresh graduates, engineers, consultants, educators, and business owners build a practical understanding of how 5G networks are designed, planned, measured, and evaluated. The program starts with the fundamentals of 5G architecture, spectrum, radio parameters, and theoretical throughput, then progresses to Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) capacity planning, link budget, coverage and site estimation, network measurement, and 5G business case development. Participants will also work with Terra Hertz learning tools such as the 5G Throughput Calculator, FWA Capacity Calculator, 5G Link Budget and Site Count Tool, 5G ROI Calculator, and Spectrum Analyzer Simulator, together with selected network planning and measurement applications. By the end of the program, participants should be able to better understand the technical and commercial factors involved in 5G deployment, interpret key network parameters, perform basic planning calculations, and evaluate possible applications of 5G for connectivity projects, consultancy, career development, and business opportunities. The course is designed to make 5G easier to understand by connecting the technology, the calculations, the tools, and the decisions engineers and organizations need to make when planning a wireless network.
