LTE Field Testing: Understanding Signals and Network Measurements
What does your phone actually “see” when it connects to an LTE network?
Time & Location
Aug 28, 2026, 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Webinar
About the event
In this free technical webinar, we’ll introduce the basic measurements used during LTE field testing and explain them in simple terms.
We’ll look at values such as:
RSRP — how strong the LTE signal is
RSRQ — how clean or usable that signal is
SINR — how much the signal is affected by interference and noise
PCI — which cell or sector the phone is connected to
Serving Cell Information — the network, band, and frequency currently being used
Through a live field-testing demonstration, we’ll show how these measurements change as a device moves through different locations and what they can tell us about signal conditions and coverage.
This session is designed for engineering students, fresh graduates, ECTs, ECEs, PECEs, ICT professionals, and anyone interested in understanding how mobile networks are measured in the real world.
No prior drive-testing experience is required.

Continuing the Learning
This webinar is also part of Terra Hertz's series of free technical sessions leading into the next batch of Wireless Engineering Foundations & LTE Networks, a 20-hour CPD training program scheduled on:
September 19, 2026
RF Fundamentals & Spectrum Analysis
September 26, 2026
LTE Architecture & Drive Testing
October 3, 2026
Link Budget & Coverage Planning
October 10, 2026
GIS Mapping & Network Reporting
The CPD program goes beyond technical demonstrations by providing a more structured learning experience covering concepts, measurements, guided exercises, calculations, network testing, coverage planning, mapping, and engineering reporting.
Participation in the free webinar is open to everyone and does not require enrollment in the CPD program.
